Through Community Managed Reading (CMR) grants intervention, Pakistani community based organizations, schools management committees and parent teacher committees are engaged to promote a culture of reading in Pakistan by supporting local communities to promote reading culture at community as well as classroom level of public primary schools. A particular emphasis is put on mobilization, sensitization and reconceptualization of parents to be part of their children learning and development activities in and outside of the school.
