PRP is working with the government to explore the potential for private alliances to support public sector education initiatives in reading, with an overall goal of improving the enabling environment to encourage participation and support from the private sector toward improved reading outcomes among children in the early grades. PRP is assisting the government forge sustainable partnerships that will support Pakistan’s reading initiatives at various levels in the education system. Partnerships will include for-profit ventures with a shared value approach, in-cash and in-kind contributions, as well as impactful giving from the private sector and philanthropists.
By building partnerships with the private sector, foundations, and other aid agencies, PRP investment in these alliances is expected to promote new, innovative ideas to improve reading outcomes in Pakistan and shared value children’s learning outcomes. PRP is in the process of identifying potential partners from corporate and philanthropic sectors for partnerships with the government.
