MUHAMMAD YUNUS GBPS Kahni Bhaiyan Kotli, Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Muhammad Yunus holds PTC certification. He is a PRP trained teacher in GBPS, Kahni Bhaiyan, District Kotli and has been associated with the education department for the last 36 years. He has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, he has played a key role in improving the reading skills of students in his class. SAMAR NAZ GGMS Butmang Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Samar holds a bachelor's degree along with an M.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGMS, Batmung, District Muzaffarabad and has been associated with the education sector for the last 12 years. She has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she has adopted a participatory approach to engage her students and has played a key role in improving their reading skills. Sadia holds a bachelor's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGPS Sector G-1, District Mirpur and has been associated with the education sector for the last 10 years. As a teacher, she has used innovative approaches to improve the reading skills of the students in her class. Riffat holds a CT certification and is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGHS Panjeri, District Bhimber and has been associated with the education sector for the last 30 years. As a teacher, her story telling skills are exemplary and her students have shown demonstrable improvement in reading skills. Shahid holds a PTC certification and is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GBMS, Noor Shah, District Muzaffarabad. He has attended face to face trainings conducted by PRP and regularly participated in TIG meetings. As a teacher, he developed a print rich environment in his school and focused on developing the reading skills of the students. Abida Asif holds an M.Ed. degree. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGHS, Shafique Ahmed, District Quetta and has been associated with the education department for the last 15 years. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she has made effective use of Reading Learning Material and improved reading fluency of her students significantly with good knowledge of phonics, coding and decoding. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Abida is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

ZAFAR IQBAL GBPS Maderisa Noor ul Quran Killa Saif Ullah, Balochistan

Zafar holds a Master's degree in Urdu and a B.Ed. He is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GBPS Madrasa Noor UI Quran, District Killa Saifullah and has been associated with the education department for the last 30 years. He has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. In addition to his role as teacher he also acts as class in charge, librarian, and in-charge of co-curricular activities in the school. For his valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Zafar is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

RASHEEDA AYUB GGPS Irrigation Colony Naseerabad, Balochistan

Rasheeda holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts and a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGMS, Irrigation Colony, District Naseerabad and has been associated with the education department for the last 22 years. She is also the recipient of Best Teacher award in 2004 awarded by the Secondary Education Department Government of Balochistan. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. In addition to her role as teacher, she also acts as Head Mistress and is in-charge of co-curricular activities in the school. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Rasheeda is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

JUMAITY GGMS Pather Colony Hub, Balochistan

Jumaity holds a B.Ed degree. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGMS Pather Colony, District Lasbela and has been associated with the education department for nearly a decade. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she took the initiative of setting up a Children's Reading Club in her school. This club helped in instilling a sense of leadership in her students who are now managing the affairs of the club. In September 2017, the Deputy Commissioner Lasbela, awarded her the "Best Teacher Award" to acknowledge her efforts. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Jumaity is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

HAMIMA KHATOON GMS Marapi Shigar, Gilgit Baltistan

Hamima holds a Master's Degree in Education along with a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in Girls Middle School Marapi, District Shigar. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she has effectively used Reading Learning Material to develop the reading skills of her students. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Hamima is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

GHAMBORI GPS Dalnati Ghizer, Gilgit Baltistan

Ghambori holds a Master's degree in education along with a B.Ed and ECD certification. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in Girls Primary School, Dalnati, District Ghizer and has been associated with the education department for over a decade. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she has been successful in developing the interest of her students in reading by using participatory methods. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Ghambori is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award". 

Mehreen   Zahra GPSNew Sakardu Gilgit Baltistan

Mehreen holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed. She is currently working as PRP trained teacher in Boys Primary School, New Ranga, District Skardu. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. She played a key role in developing reading skills of her students and her commitment has been acknowledged by her peers. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Mehreen is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

Nazra Begum GHS Aliabad Hunza Gilgit Baltistan

Nazara Begum holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GHS Aliabad, District Hunza and has been associated with the education department for the last 18 years. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher, she has worked earnestly to develop the reading skills of her students and these efforts have borne good results. NASIM SOFIA GMS Dashkin Astore, Gilgit Baltistan

Nasim holds a Master's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in Girls Middle School Dashkin, District Astore and has been associated with the education sector for the last 17 years. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. In 2017, she was declared "The Teacher of the Year" and awarded a medal and certificate by the Department of Education, Gilgit Baltistan. Due to her teaching approaches, the students of grade 1 and 2 showed highly improved results in Urdu. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Sofia is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

Shahid holds a Master's degree in Arts and an M.Ed. He is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in Islamabad Model School for Boys, Bhadana Kalan and has been associated with the education department for the last 13 years. He has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. As a teacher of grade-2, he has helped build his students' reading fluency. In addition to his role as teacher he also acts as class in charge, librarian, and in-charge of co-curricular activities in the school. For his valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Shahid is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".      

SUMAIRA NAZ IMSG (I VIII)1-9/4 Islamabad 

Sumaira holds a bachelor's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed. and CT certification. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in Islamabad Model School for Girls 1-9/4, Islamabad and has been associated with the education department for the last 6 years. She has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings as well as training workshops on EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment) tool development. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Sumaira is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award"

KANIZ FATIMA IMS No. 2, 1-10/1 Islamabad

Kaniz holds a bachelor's degree in Arts and a B.Ed. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in IMS No.2, 1-10/1, Islamabad and has been associated with the education department for the last 16 years. She has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings and in addition to these she has also attended training workshops on EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment) tool development. In addition to her role as a teacher, she also acts as librarian and admission in-charge of the school. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Kaniz is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

Majid Ullah holds a bachelor's degree in Arts along with PTC certification. He is currently teaching in GPS Prang No. 2, District Charsadda and has been associated with the education department for the last 27 years. He has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. His classroom has a print rich environment and his students are fluent in Urdu reading as per assessment results. Fazal Ahad holds a Master's degree in Arts along with PTC certification. He is currently as a PRP trained teacher in GPS No. 2 Sher Garh, District Mardan and has been associated with the education department for the last 18 years. He has been working with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regular TIG Meetings. Fazal is also the recipient of the Best Teacher Award Tehsil Level 2016-17 from the Education Department. Robeena holds a bachelor's degree in Arts along with PTC certification. She is currently working as a PRP trained teacher in GGPS Hayatabad No. 3, District Peshawar and has been associated with the education department for the last 24 years. RAFIA KIRAN GGPS Naseer Khan Laghari Tando Allahyar, Sindh

Rafia holds a master's degree in Economics, Education and M.Ed degree along with PTC and CT certifications. She is currently working as a primary school teacher in GGPS Naseer Khan Legari, district Tando Allahyar. This school was selected by PRP in May 2015, after that Rafia attended face to face trainings conducted by PRP and regularly participated in TIG meetings. Rafia played a pivotal role in increasing her school's enrollment rate by reaching out to the parents and assuring them that their children will receive quality education. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Rafia is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

HAMEEDA PARVEEN OTHO GGPS Mahmood Otho Shaheed Benazirabad, Sindh

Hameeda holds a master's degree in Sociology and Sindhi along with B.Ed and M.Ed degrees. She is currently working as a primary school teacher in her village school GBPS Mir Muhammad Otho, district Nawabshah. She has been associated with PRP since 2015 and has attended face to face trainings and regularly participates in TIG meetings. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Hameeda is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".

SAIMA KASH IF GBPS N Area Pehlwan Goth Karachi, Sindh   

Saima holds a bachelor's degree in Arts along with a B.Ed degree. She has been working as a primary school teacher in GBPS Pehlwan Goth, district Karachi. In 2015, she was selected as a mentor by PRP and subsequently attended face to face training of mentors. This training helped Saima learn different pedagogies of teaching on how to inculcate reading in the classroom. As a result, she has been supporting teachers in TIG meetings in implementing Reading Learning Material in schools. She has also written short stories for her students to promote a culture of reading in her school. For her valuable services towards the noble cause of education, Saima is being awarded the "Best Teacher Award".
