The famous African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” elaborates well the importance of community based support for reading. The purpose of the endeavor is to work on the ‘Students Support Triangle’ (Children-Teachers- Parents) by involving community in general and parents in particular. To reach to the purpose, PRP has devised a support mechanism by identifying five major themes (i) Reading Events to Promote Parental Engagement; (ii) Children with Special Needs. (iii) Tutoring; (iv) Summer/Winter Camps; and (v) Gender.
