PRP builds on core partner World Learning’s institutional competencies in designing and implementing transformative youth and adult learning programs through exchanges and study tours to expose Pakistani education officials to effective reading instruction approaches in similar country contexts. The overall approach is grounded in the principles of experiential learning and aims to expose participants to successful reading models in schools, highlight policies and practices proven to support reading program achievement, and address implementation challenges and solutions. Participants will return to Pakistan with up-to-date information on reading/literacy policies, standards, curriculum, teacher training, systems, and assessment for each of the countries visited. On their return, a technical workshop will be organized where participants present lessons learned and collectively agree on a specific action plan.
